20 November 2015 club meeting: Charity Race Night

horse_racingDear Fellow Members,

Simon Lockley and his group have been working extremely hard organising the Race Night on Friday, 20 November. I do urge you all to support him. This is a serious fund-raising opportunity for the Club and deserves a positive response from us all.

We had a good address earlier this month from Tabler Alan Collins, the ambassador for Round Table Children’s Wish,  who made a considerable round trip to be with us that night to tell us all about Children’s Wish and the great work it is doing in supporting special wishes for seriously ill children.  Alan is returning on 20 November, to support our Race Night. Please support, with your friends, families and colleagues,  to make this event a success.

We will congregate at the Rugby Club from 7pm, with the first race planned for 7.30pm. After four races, there will be food (pie, peas and chips, plus a pudding) and a short charity auction.

This is our November club meeting, but will be on an opt-in basis, so apologies are not required. Do let us make this a successful evening, please!!!

Please confirm your attendance, with the names of your guests, to Steve Slade by noon on Saturday, 14 November. Tickets are £15pp to include your food and can be bought from Simon Lockley in advance or by payment to the Treasurer on the night. Please note that Club members and their partners do not have to pay the Treasurer as the cost will come from your standing order.

Best wishes,

Richard
