Dear Member
As the evenings draw in, I am delighted to give you more details of our January 41 Club Connects Programme. The Team have put together a range of events which should appeal to all – starting with a fantastic speaker this week, followed by other special events to provide some fun and sparkle. 7th January 2021 at 7:30pm – Richard McCann |
Richard has delivered over 2500 presentations around the world, inspiring audiences with his story of overcoming adversity, and sharing his powerful iCan approach. In 2009 he founded the iCanSpeak Academy, training individuals and teams to enhance their presentation skills and communicate their message authentically and with con?dence so they achieve more effective results. On a cold and misty morning in October 1975, Richard woke to discover his mother was missing. He was just ?ve years old. She was the ?rst victim of the notorious serial killer, Peter Sutcliffe. Despite other tragic losses, and a period of dabbling with drugs and prison, Richard decided to turn his life around. He grew to become a motivational speaker and loving family man, with a ?lm of his life in development. 14th January 2021 at 7:30pm – Virtual Tour of Hangar 42 Spitfire Museum |
The Museum has three replica Spitfires and a Hawker Hurricane, all currently being restored with original parts to a high standard. We will be hearing about the exhibits and wartime history of the Fylde Coast and the locally recovered exhibits of WW2 aircraft crash wrecks, including a complete P51 Mustang Merlin Engine. About Hangar 42 Hangar 42 was constructed in 1939 for the RAF. Polish & RAF Squadrons flew Night Fighter operations from Hangar 42. Hurricanes, Boulton Paul Defiants & Spitfires were amongst a range of Aircraft operated from Hangar 42. Famous Aviation Pioneer Amy Johnson also flew her last fateful mission from Blackpool in 1941 as an ATA Pilot. The building has been refurbished and restored to its WW2 operational state. The Lytham St Annes Spitfire Ground Display Team was established in 2009 to help raise funds for the RAF Memorial now located on Fairhaven Lake in Lytham St Annes. 26th January 2020 at 7:30pm – Burns Night Supper |
The 41 Club Connects Team have pulled together an evening of tremendous fellowship at the inaugural National 41 Club Virtual Burns Night Supper. This wonderful evening of fellowship will involve all the usual traditions and ceremony of the evening, supported by some (surely all?) of our Scottish members. Hear piping, recitals and more as we relive the life and times of Rabbie Burns. You can cater for yourselves OR like Lesley and me, you can take advantage of a special deal to order a traditional Burns Supper to be delivered to you. The special 41 Club delivery menu will include Cullen Skink, Haggis, Neeps and Tatties, a fine dessert and a single malt whisky for you and a partner to enjoy. These meals will be prepared and delivered directly to your doors to simply warm up on the evening. The meal including the whisky will be sold and delivered as meals for two at £48 (£24 per head – although because of the high costs of transportation, we regret that there will have to be a delivery surcharge for anyone ordering a single meal (sorry)). A special portal for ordering will be shared in the coming days. More details here: https://41clubconnects.co.uk |
