Dear Stephen
Thank you so much to Scarborough 41 Club for the fantastic donation of £1900 which you raised at your Race Night held at Scarborough Rugby Club. Your generosity and hard work will help us grant wishes for some truly inspirational children. Your support is so appreciated, and just to give you an idea of how your donation will be spent, I thought you would be interested to hear about one of the wishes we have recently granted.
“It was absolutely smashing. The pictures say it all of how much she enjoyed it, so thank you so much, so many memories made.”
Mikayla, age 4, is suffering from a brain tumour. Her wish was to be turned in to a Princess for the day, and so we were delighted to grant her wish.
The family travelled to London and visited the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Harrods where the transformation began. Mikayla was met by the Fairy Godmothers who took great care of her. Mikayla had her make up applied and hair styled with lots of bows and jewels. Once she slipped in to her Elsa dress and sparkly shoes she became Princess Mikayla! She looked absolutely stunning and just couldn’t stop smiling. She went away with her own Princess make up case and lots of wonderful pictures.
Mum said she raised lots ofsmiles from people when they headed back on the tube to the hotel! The following day the family travelled over to Hyde Park to enjoy the Winter Wonderland. They spent some time walking around the Ice kingdom as well as a fun visit to the family circus. Mikayla enjoyed lots of the fairground rides and also a visit to Santa. The family also managed to enjoy all the Christmas lights and a visit to Hamley’s.
Mum said “It was absolutely smashing. The pictures say it all of how much she enjoyed it, so thank you so much, many memories made.”
Your support will enable us to grant wishes for some truly remarkable young people at a time when their outcomes are uncertain.
