National Sporting Events

Following the superb triumph of the another British cyclist and fellow Welshman Geraint Thomas in the Tour de France I thought it would be timely to remind everyone that the inaugural 41 Club National cycling event takes place next month over the weekend of 10th-12th August.
Hosted by Northampton Nene 41 club this event is an opportunity for budding cyclists to pit themselves against fellow 41ers in the hope of receiving the “coveted yellow jersey” or if you are like me it offers the chance to have a leisurely cycle ride through the countryside of Northamptonshire plus the socialising that follows each evening.
If anyone is interested it is not too late to book and you should contact Ken Banfield onken.banfield@virginmedia.com or 07740 104242.  The price of the event is £37 per person which includes Friday evening food and a BBQ on Saturday.
Continuing with the sporting theme and for those of you who enjoyed attending previous Round Table National Sporting weekends, have you considered attending 41 Club’s own NSSW. If you have a competitive streak then this is an event not to be missed but if you only fancy having a weekend of fun and fellowship with fellow 41ers then you should also consider going because the additional “S” depicts the key word “Socialising”.
This year’s event is being held at the Potters resort near Great Yarmouth on Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd February 2019.. Prices for the weekend package incl. all sports, food and entertainment is £230 per person sharing. Further details can be obtained from Kelly Clarke at region17@41club.org
