Charity Night raises over £2000

Scarborough 41 Club’s annual charity evening was held on Friday 30th November at Scarborough Rugby Club in support of Scarborough Samaritans, chairman Simon’s chosen charity for this year.
Around a hundred guests enjoyed a four course meal, which was preceded by a short talk from the local Samaritans and which shed a revealing light on their background and the very important work they undertake.
During the meal guests were entertained by Robert Schmuck, the talented local singer and pianist. Following the meal, Robert and two of his band members played a set of Billy Joel hits – which resulted in the night ending with a dance floor packed with people (if not dancing talent).
Thanks to the generosity of those attending the evening, local business sponsors, raffle and auction prize donors and individual donations, we were delighted to raise a grand total of £2018 to help support the work of Scarborough Samaritans.
