November 2016 meeting report: Casino Charity Fundraising Evening

Scarborough Round Table and 41 Club held a very successful Fun Casino event at the Crown Spa Hotel on 11 November 2016, raising money for the worthy charity which is Scarborough-based Basics Plus.

Basics Plus was formed in 1990 to provide training and work experience for people with special needs. Over the years the organisation has developed projects which not only benefit people with learning disabilities but provides valued and much needed services to the local community. Through a range of activities Basics Plus is making a significant contribution to Scarborough’s rapidly expanding social economy.

The Fun Casino evening comprised of a two course meal, entertainment by the Julie Hatton Dancers and casino games. 120 guests attended the evening.

The evening successfully raised over £ 1,500 for the deserving charity.
